Like Father Like Son

In the last week or so Fox has really started liking to play games on the computer. He will literally spend hours trying to figure out games and clicking on all the fun things. He must get it from his dad because I can't stand to spend hours on the computer if I don't have to. It has been nice because while it is fun to play outside, it is also hot and humid. So it has given me a little break from having to be outside so much. We are not lacking in the computer department around our house due to Shawn and the field of work he is in, so I set up Fox's own computer on his little table in the office and he just loves it. His 2 favorite sites so far are playhousedisney.com and noggin.com.

Summertime fun.

I am realizing more and more that I have a lot of wants. I am just trying to find a way to put them in the needs catagory. One of the things that I must have decided I needed is for my kids to have things to do this summer. Just when I said I wasn't going to get anything big, we go and order up an electric hummer for the kids to drive around in. But that just wasn't enough. We happened to be in WalMart, only 2 days later, and saw a trampoline we just had to get. Ok, so next time I decide not to get anything, I hope my bank account can handle it.

We also got a few water things to play with. Shawn tried to play too. He is also the one who read on the slippin'slide, "NOT FOR ADULT USE" He fits well in my family.

More pictures from our trip to Utah

Our time in Utah

So it has been awhile since my last post. It might be a trend of mine. We will see. We have been pretty busy over the last month or so. First, my mom, dad and brother Trent came out here to Georgia for about 2 weeks. We went to some Braves games (not a shock). Trent is a huge Braves fan so he has to get as many games in as possible. That and going to see the Braves is fun anyways, though I was ready for a break.

We also went to Utah for about 2 weeks. It was nice to be back in Utah. We hadn't been since Christmas. That was the longest we have stayed away. Too much going on here in Georgia with Fox playing baseball and Shawn being crazy busy at work and stuff. Now I know that I have some friends in Utah that I didn't call and see, and I am really sorry about that cause I wanted to call, but you will understand when I tell you all that we did.

I pretty much went all over the State. I was lucky because I got to see every single one of my family members with the exception of Kevin's family because they live out here and we are lucky to get to see them all the time. So here's how the trip went. We got to Saratoga Springs and spent time with Brian's family. We had pizza at the park, had a BBQ, and went to some Mayan restaurant place where they have a little show of divers going off high fake rock ledges into a teeny tiny pool. It was really cool except for the wait was too long and the food wasn't that great. We also went to Classic Skating and Fox played in the bounce section of the center with Kylie and had so much fun he was literally drenched with sweat. Then we tried to skate. That was a little tough and Fox got frustrated and said he wasn't big enough to skate. Though the next morning he woke up and told me that he was big enough to skate now. To top off our time spent up in Saratoga Springs, the kids got sick and they both threw up a couple times. Shawn seems to always miss the fun stuff, since he had to come home and work for 4 of the days.

Then we were off to St. George. But just as soon as we got there, we took a drive to Kanab and I got to see my Grandparents. It was nice fun. So we didn’t stay put for too long. We did a little shopping in St. George and Shawn flew in to stay with us the rest of the trip. However, the flu bug wasn’t done with us. Me and Shawn were sick all day Saturday. A lot of fun we were. I am just glad my mom was there to take care of our kids. Then my mom got sick and we said “See ya, we’re outta here.” And we went to Cedar City for the night. And then back to St. George for 2 nights and then Cedar City for 2 more nights. It was crazy. Fox just had the time of his life with all of his cousins. In Cedar we got to see Tammy’s family, Erin’s family, Shawn’s parents and also his Grandparents. We did a lot of fun stuff with all of them. And then we drove up to SLC for a nephew’s baptism and got to see Mikie’s and Jen’s families also. We didn’t sit still the whole time we were in Utah.

As fun as it is to travel and see family, it is also nice for it to come to an end and just be at home for a rest. Fox doesn’t see it that way though. He wants to keep on playing with all his cousins. I don’t blame him and that is one of the many reasons why we are glad we have Kevin’s family out here with us.

We forgot our camera and had to rely on our parents cameras for pictures. So I have the pictures from Shawn’s mom’s camera and I put together a little slide show of us with his family.

Dodger Time!

Dodgers where in town the weekend before last and of course we went to all 3 games. We have a lot of fun going together as a family. The kids love to be there. They climb all over the seats, well Jayde does anyways, and knock into people in front of them. Its great fun. After the Sunday game (yes we went on Sunday, SORRY) Fox got to run the bases at Turner Field. He had his baseball team uniform on because his teammates went and got to run the bases too. You can't really tell it is him running out on the field, but there is a shot of him running between 1st and 2nd base in the slide show.

Old Ladies???

So the other day I needed to go to Michaels to get a few things to add to a necklace that I was making. In order to make it fun for Fox, he wanted to stay home to watch Dora, I told him we could go to Old Navy and get a bouncy ball. He really likes Old Navy for the 25 cent bouncy balls, and it is right next to Michaels. So as we pulled in to the parking lot, he saw the Old Navy sign and got all excited and started saying, rather loudly, there's Old Ladies mom, there's Old Ladies mom. I couldn't help but laugh.
When Fox isn't making Jayde cry, they really enjoy playing with each other. It is so fun to see them laughing together. Jayde likes to copy Fox already and Fox really likes to see himself in pictures so they decided to pose for me today.

One of their favorite things to do is pull all my tupperware out of the cabinet and climb inside. I really don't know why I even clean it up.
