Happy Halloween!

The kids had a blast tonight. We went with Kevin's family trick or treating and as always I tried to get a picture of all the kids together. This is the best picture I got. They were to excited to load up on candy to stand still. Although, now that I look closer, it is just my kids that won't pose very good.

So I tried to get one of just Fox and Jayde together and at least they sat there for a few seconds. Even though they didn't look at the camera.

Fox found out that Boston was wearing a Spiderman costume and couldn't stop talking about dressing up just like him. So we went costume shopping last Friday night and Saturday, and 3 WalMart's later finally found a spiderman costume. Thank heavens, or we would have had a sad boy.
Fox and Boston

Jayde was just happy that we finally started trick or treating.

Fox is proud of his stash. It got too heavy for him to carry. That is when we called it quits.

Pumpkin Faces

Thursday Boston came over to play and we made pumpkin faces. I don't know about Boston and Jayde so much, but Fox loved it. He wore it most of the day chasing the others around making ssssssssss noises. Now I know what a pumpkin sounds like!

Tagged Again

Kinsey tagged me a few days ago. I am supposed to list 7 things that are weird/interesting about me or that have happened to me. I have been thinking about that and must resort to my high school days for some of them. So sorry to my high school friends that read this because it is nothing new to you.

1. I have a broken back. Ok, more specifically I was diagnosed with a compressed fractured vertibre while in my high school days. Basically 2 of my vertibre are crushed and my doctor at the time said that it will never heal. Most often it doesn't bother me though.

2. I was involved in many things while in high school. I played volleyball, softball, and basketball and was also on the dance team. Each year I dropped out of one thing because of one reason or another. Volleyball, I didn't like my coach. Then softball because my back hurt too much and I didn't know why. Then basketball because my back doctor said I had to quit everything. I was very upset about that one. But I stayed on the dance team because back problem or not, I was not quiting everything.

3. I was 'drill mistress' of my high school dance team my senior year, which basically means that I was president, or captain, or what ever you want to call that. Anyways, I had to take charge of the dance team often when our advisor was out because of a surgery. We went on to nationals that year in California.

4. I got dance sterling scholar at our school. For those of you who might not know what that is, it just means that I got a scholarship because of dance, though I didn't have to go on to dance in college.

5. I was on the ballroom back up team the end of my freshman year of college. A friend of mine, who was on the back up team, came to me and told me that some girl got hurt or moved or something, I can't quite remember, and they needed someone for the following week's performance. I agreed to let him teach me the dances, there were 3 or 4 dances, and 4 days later, I was performing in the big end of the year ballroom dance performance. It was a lot of fun.

6. I pop my elbows all the time. Some people think that is weird.

7. I can't think of any thing else so I guess that is it.

Pumpkin Carving

Today after church we decided to carve our pumpkins. Let me just say, I think I should stick to the basic pumpkin face instead of trying to do a witch or something else. My witch turned out not so good. Part of the face broke off so I had to prop it up with some pumpkin scraps I found in the garbage. Shawn feels the same way about his spiderweb that Fox had to have, but his turned out much better than mine. The kids really enjoyed trying to cut into the pumpkins and get all the 'guts' out.

Trunk Or Treat

Last night was our Ward 'Trunk or Treat' party. After looking for two days straight we found a spiderman costume for Fox to wear. He was so excited to dress up just like 'Bosty' in his spiderman costume he could hardly contain himself while they were trick or treating last night.

Doctor's Visit

I went to the Doctor today for the first of many visits to come. My official due date is exactly what I figured out to be, May 28, 2009. Am I good or what?! The Doctor did an ultra sound and I got to see the heart beating. Yeah!!! So I decided to put up a ticker to remind everybody how far along I am. I don't know that I like it though. It says I have 216 days to go. That is a long time.

Just In Case You Thought I Was Joking

I had just got Jayde all dressed and ready to go to Fox's baseball game, went into my closet to get a jacket and stuff and hear Fox say he needs to go potty. That's great because maybe he won't need to go during the game. Well I should have known, anytime Fox, or anyone for that matter, needs to go potty, so does Jayde. When I came out of my room I ran into this:

Clothes were in the bathroom, diaper in the garbage can, and Jayde with just her socks and shoes on. I couldn't resist, I had to take a picture.

My Little Stripper

Today as I was trying to get Jayde to take a nap, she decided to throw a HUGE screaming fit. So as I was starting to get really frusterated, I decided to put her in her bed and walk away. She settled down and I went to check on her a little while later and found her like this:

She is my little stripper. She takes her clothes and diaper off just about everyday. Thank heavens she didn't have a poopy diaper.

Pictures at The Rock Ranch

The Rock Ranch

Saturday we went to The Rock Ranch. I guess you might call it a glorified pumpkin patch and we had a great time. There were so many things to do. The kids loved it. Fox keeps saying he wants to go back to "the pumpkin patch" with a lot of toys.

We first got there and decided to pick out some pumpkins so that we weren't too tired at the end of the day to spend time deciding which ones to get. The excitement the kids had in that alone was a fun experience. Jayde tried desperately to pick up some very large pumpkins, but didn't succeed. Then we rode on a trailer hooked to the back of a truck and Fox was so excited about that we had to laugh. I love the simple things that make the kids happy. I really don't want that to end.

The kids got to ride a pony, a cow train, a pedal cart, and the carrousel. We all rode on a train together. They jumped on a giant pillow, played in a corn box, tried out a little bit of cane pole fishing, got their faces painted, and we all got lost in the giant corn maze. Seriously we were stuck in there for at least 45 minutes or so. We saw some pumpkins being shot out of a cannon and last, but not least, we saw a bunch of hot air balloons take flight.

It was really fun to go and spend time there. It is a beautiful ranch with many fun thing to do.

A Little Bit Of News

Shawn and I decided to add a third child into the mix. So after about 1 month of trying, I am happy to report that I am pregnant. I am only about 8 weeks along, so we got a ways to go. My due date is not until the end of May. I am thrilled to be having another baby, but I am not excited about the next 8 months.

My kids are excited, I think. I am pretty sure Fox understands and he already says he wants a baby brother. Go figure. Don't boys usually always say that? It seems that as soon as we found out that I am pregnant, my kids decided to fight and scream and yell at eachother more than ever. What is with that? I seriously wonder why I am even having another one sometimes.

Even so, we are excited and anxious to have another little one running around.

Back From Utah Again

I just liked this picture of Jayde and Fox

Here is Jayde on the airplane.

We got home late Monday night from our little visit to Utah. I will spare you the boring details this time except to say that we love seeing family members, however brief it may be. I will tell you about how much our kids love grandma Vicki's dogs though. Our kids cannot get enough of them when we visit. They love dogs and the only time they really get to play with dogs is when we go to Utah. We do not own a dog and will not be getting a dog anytime soon because Shawn is allergic and I don't think that I would be a very good pet owner. So even though Shawn may get a little irritated about the dogs, we do love that the kids get to play with them and have a little fun time with them.
Fox told me that it would be nice if we could bring one home with us. He came up with that all by himself.

Here is a little video of Jayde playing with one of the dogs in her cage.

We had fun and can't wait till Thanksgiving now.

I am .......... Jenise, Mom, Ma mom

I want .......... too many things

I have .......... many things to be thankful for, including, but not limited too, the best husband. He gives the kids baths a lot, but tonight he even hurried and got it done while I was at the store and just before he had to leave for a softball game.

I wish .......... I was a better person in many ways

I hate .......... packing for a vacation

I fear .......... I will lose a family member or screw up my children some how

I hear .......... just the hum of my computer and a couple of clocks around the house. Kids are in bed and Shawn is out playing softball.

I search ......... for fun things to do with my children that will help them learn and grow

I always .......... put lotion on my feet before bedtime

I usually .......... am late for Church, but not for other things. I know, it should be the other way around.

I am not ......... ready for the world to come to an end

I miss ......... Living close to my sister. And my parents for that matter.

I love .......... to laugh with my family

I never ........... say never

I rarely ........... go without Mayfield brand chocolate ice cream every night

I cry ............ hopefully when no one is around

I am not always ........... patient with my kids. I need to do better.

I lose ......... nothing if I can help it. It's my kids and husband that lose things and if any body knows me they know it is a pet peeve of mine.

I am confused .......... as to why I am not dishing myself up some delicious chocolate ice cream right now

I need ......... a play room, an excercise room, a craft room, and a storage room to name just a few things

I should .......... wrap this up so I can watch my TV shows. Shawn just got home and we have a lot of shows we watch together.

I dream ........... that my kids will grow up happy and successful in their lives

I tag Holly, Cari, Tara, and Paige.
