Christmas Vacation!
On Christmas day we flew out to Utah. It worked out perfectly. We had Christmas morning at our house, and then we headed out the door and had Christmas dinner with my parents and my brother Brian and his family in Utah. For some crazy reason we were able to make the flight, which didn't look good at all, but we tried anyway. We had fun in Utah in all the snow. The kids couldn't get enough of it. However, I am glad to be back home where there is no snow. I guess you could say I had my fill of snow for the year.
A couple of highlights on our trip:
We got to play in the snow
Visit with lots of cousins and family
Attended Tyson's baptism (Brian's little boy)
Jayde got to see Darla (grandma Vicki's little doggie)
Shawn got to go to the Utah game in New Orleans
Ate at my favorite restaurant, Cafe Rio
Shopped and shopped
A couple of NOT SO highlights on our trip:
Fox got really sick after one day in the snow
Jayde got a little sick
Jayde got her first bladder infection
Shawn got to go to the Utah game in New Orleans without us
I probably spent too much money shopping (but it was fun)
I got stuck out in Utah an extra 3 days because flights were so bad

Christmas Eve!
We had my brother Trent, my brother Kevin and his family, and Shawn's cousin Paul and his family come over for Christmas Eve. We had a great time decorating cookies for Santa. Jayde mostly just ate the frosting.

This post is all about belief. Here are the rules - some of your answers can't be religious. You should include at least one belief about food and one belief or unbelief that reflects your philosophy about life.
6 Things I Believe:
1. I believe that we are in charge of our own attitudes and that we have a choice on what our attitudes will be each day.
2. I believe that our strongest emotions come with having a family.
3. I believe that trials sometimes feel like they are never going to end.
4. I believe that the Lord is with us always, even if it doesn't feel like it.
5. I believe that when you do what is right you will find peace.
6. I believe that if something tastes good then it should be good for you.
6 Things I don't Believe:
1. I don't believe there is anything better than knowing my family is happy.
2. I don't believe it is always easy to do what is right.
3. I don't believe in giving up.
4. I don't believe I could live without T.V.
5. I don't believe it is everybody elses job to make you happy.
6. I don't believe I could have a better family.
6 Things I am not sure about:
1. I am not sure I am a very good mom.
2. I am not sure I want my kids to grow up.
3. I am not sure how all the new toys are going to fit in our house when Christmas morning comes.
4. I am not sure why I was blessed with such great in-laws when so many others can't stand theirs.
5. I am not sure how anyone could live without love in their lives.
6. I am not sure I could ever hear too much laughter from my kids.
I tag Tiffany, Holly, Kinsey P, Jaimee K, Eliza, and Paige. I would love to hear from you guys.

Santa!
Saturday night was our ward party and the kids got to see Santa. Fox was so excited. He told Santa he wanted a really fast bike. Then he got off his lap and went to Shawn and remembered he wanted to tell Santa one more thing. By then he was too late to go back to Santa and Fox was stressed out about that. He got in line again so that he could tell him he wanted a train set. He was so funny about it.

Jayde stood in line all by herself because she was not as fast as Fox, and surprisingly she stayed in line the whole time. I didn't even help her and when she got up to Santa she sat on his lap with no problem at all. Santa was all she could talk about the rest of the night, even as she was going to bed.

Thanksgiving!
We got to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with lots of family. My parents again helped me fly to Utah with the kids and we spent the first part of the week at their house. For family home evening, Kylie gave a great Thanksgiving lesson and showed us how to make Turkeys out of apples and candy. My kids loved it. Of course the candy was the best part. They also had a blast playing hide and seek with Grandpa and Kylie, Sydney and Tyson their cousins.

Then we went to Shawn's parents house in Cedar City where we were lucky to have all of Shawn's sisters and their families there. It is a mad house when we are all there together, but it is fun. I love to see everybody, especially since we don't very often all get together at once. I didn't get very many pictures this whole trip, but here are some where most of the kids are watching Erin put together a gingerbread house just hoping they will get a chance to help.

We had a few of these emotional break downs this trip. Jayde was pretty clingy to me.
