My Grandma

Last week my grandma Mary got to come out here for a visit. It was so nice to see her and have her spend time with us.

Daddy Daughter Date

Last night Jayde got to go to the Braves game just her and dad. She was so excited to go. She kept saying, "See you later!" like dad lets get out of here before mom changes her mind. It was so cute. It is probably because I have a new baby around, but she seems to be getting so big so fast lately.



This lady Braves usher thought Jayde was the cutest thing, so she asked Shawn if she could have Jayde help her for an inning. So Jayde got to help her show people to their seats and make sure everyone was comfortable. Jayde had a great time helping.

Every time I ask her if she had fun at the game with dad last night she says she wants to go to another game.

What started out as ...

I can't believe it has been over a week that we have had our little Dax with us. He is such a cutie I can't keep my eyes off him. Here is a picture of our family while I was still at the hospital. As you can see, we are all excited to have him here.

Here are a couple of pictures I took of him today. He is 9 days old today. I actually got him with his eyes open.

Dax Challis 7 pounds 15 ounces!

Dax was born this morning at 7:51 am, he weighed in at 7 pounds 15 ounces and 19 3/4 inches long. Both Dax and Jenise are doing well!

My Last Photo Before Baby Comes

Holly, this is for you. Here is what I look like today. Tomorrow morning I have to be to the hospital at 5:30 am. Normally I would say that I am not happy about getting up that early, but I welcome it now that I can't sleep hardly at all with my arms going numb. And yes, it is both arms now, not just my right.

I just have to say that Fox has been extremely sweet to me tonight. I can't even count how many times he has hugged me this afternoon and especially tonight. I think that he understands what is happening tomorrow to some extent and I love the extra tenderness he has shown me. I don't think Jayde, on the other hand, has quite figured it out. It might be a rude awakening for her tomorrow.

I am excited to meet my new little boy. I can't believe it is really here. We will post pictures tomorrow as soon as we get the chance.
