Our Snow Day!

It snowed Sunday for the second time in the 3 years that we have lived here. So of course, since we get so little snow, we had to take advantage of it while we can.
Fox and Jayde were excited to build a snowman.

Basically you have to play in the snow just when it is done snowing or even while it is snowing because by the next afternoon here it looks like......

this.
Ok so this was taken today, Wednesday, but by Monday afternoon it pretty much looked like this. You see all the snowmen that people built, but no snow around it.

Times I Need To Remember!

Yesterday morning while I was getting ready for the day, Fox and Jayde decided to watch T.V. together on my bed.

So I was in my bathroom just listening to what they were doing and I hear Fox say to Jayde, "I'm cold baby, I need a hug."(He often calls Jayde, baby) Jayde says, "Ok" gives him a hug and then says, "That better?" To which Fox replies, "Yes."

A few minutes go by and Fox says," I'm cold again baby." And the whole hugging thing goes on again. So I rush to get the camera to capture it on film.
Times like these are the times I need to remember. SOMETIMES they can be so sweet and loving towards one another and I just love to witness it because it makes me smile.

Our Crazy Hailstorm!

This evening just after 6pm we experienced a hailstorm like none that we have experienced before. We usually see something like this on the news or hear about it from someone else, but now we can say we have experienced it. It only lasted a minute or two, but I have to admit it freaked us out a bit.

All of a sudden it got really light out side, which it had been a pretty dark and rainy day for the most part, and then it started raining. I commented to Shawn about that and then shortly after it started raining we heard big things pelting down on our house. Shawn yelled to me to get the kids away from the window, which freaked me out a bit, and we stayed towards the middle of our house so that if a window broke we would not get hurt.

I of course ran to get the camera and took some pictures. Here is part of our back yard.

This is out to the side.
Shawn gathered up a few of the ice chunks.

Fox had to get in on the action too. This is his hand holding this last piece.

Some were just about the size of baseballs. Our car has dents all over it. Shawn said it looks like a bunch of golf balls were dropped all over it. On one side of our house the siding is all cracked and broken. Thankfully nobody got hurt. Some of our friends got broken windows and cuts from it, but we were lucky that we didn't.

Less Than 100 Days Left!

I don't know if any of you remember, but I started my pregnancy tracker count down when I had 216 days to go. At the time I thought that was pretty rediculous to start the tracker because I had such a long way to go, but I kept it up anyways. So today I looked at it and I now have 99 days to go. Where has the time gone? I think that this pregnancy is going by much quicker than the other two.

So I don't forget completely how the other pregancies went, I am going to put down a few things to remember my experiences with all my pregancies up to my 26th week. This is basically for my memory, so sorry if you get a little bored.

With Fox:
I was only sick in the morning and night, but I was sick the whole pregnancy. I think that was partly to do with brushing my teeth. The good thing about not being sick during the day was that I was working at Wells Fargo helping people with their accounts, etc... When I say it was good, I mean that with all the different smells of people that came in, I didn't ever have to run to bathroom to throw up. I remember being really nervous about that.

I don't remember anything that I craved, well I guess I craved milk because I seemed to go through it quickly, but I do remember not liking any beef. Hamburger, steak, you name, I didn't like it. I got heartburn so bad that I was finishing off a big bottle of tums from Costco every couple days. I remember trying Mylanta and that didn't help. Finally I told my doctor and was prescribed aciphex for the problem. If I had known that I could get a prescription for that, I would have told them long before I did.

With Jayde:
I again was sick in the morning and night basically the whole pregnancy. Again I think brushing my teeth was part, but only part, of the problem in feeling sick. I know it might sound wierd, but I know of others who have felt the same about brushing thier teeth while they are or were pregnant. I asked the doctor for a prescrition for aciphex on my very first appointement. I wasn't going to suffer with heartburn like I did with Fox.

I stopped working at Wells Fargo and we moved out here to Georgia during my pregnancy with Jayde, so I had to get a new doctor. I didn't like the idea of that, but it worked out good. I got pregnancy mask right in the beginning of my pregnancy with Jayde and it got worse as the time went on. I had no idea that could even happen, and I don't like it at all. Thank heavens it is going away gradually and I have so far not gotten it worse since. I didn't have any food aversions or cravings with this pregnancy.

Baby #3:
I was sick in my first trimester a lot worse than the other two. My worst time of day was just after lunch, which was strange to me because it was different than both of the other pregnancies. I still have a hard time in the mornings when I brush my teeth, but not as much as I used to, and not so much at night at all.

I again got a prescription for aciphex on my first doctor's appointment. Heartburn is not fun to have. I don't even like to think about eating my chocolate ice cream that I was addicted to for so long. Maybe 2 or 3 times since I got really sick in my first trimester and even then I didn't enjoy it that much. I also am usually a soda pop drinker, but anything carbonated made me sick for quite awhile. Too bad it still doesn't make me sick. Although with all my pregnancies to date, ice water is about the only thing that would make me feel better when I didn't and don't feel good. I usually have a big mug of ice water with me everywhere I go.

Tammy's Visit!

My sister got to come out here for a week long visit this last week. She went home early this morning and we were sad to see her go. Of course my kids wanted to take her to Jumping Jelly Beans because they have so much fun there. She was a good sport and went down the slide with them and we all had a fun time.
Jayde and Tammy

For the weekend we decided to head over to New York for a couple of days. My parents were so kind to stay home and watch our's and Kevin's kids for the weekend. Thanks mom and dad!!! It made it so the trip was easy and fun. Here is all of us in Times Square.

Me and Shawn out on the Brooklyn Bridge with the city behind us.

Tammy, Trent and I in Grand Central Station.

Trent, me and Tammy waiting for a subway train.

Me, Tammy and Trent in Battery Park with the Statue of Liberty behind us in the distance.

Trent with his close personal friend Pres. Barack Obama.

We had a lot of fun this week. I love spending time with my sister. We are not able to get together very often, but it is really nice when we do.

Fox's Birthday Party!!!

Today Fox had his very first friend birthday party. I figured, since he was so excited for his birthday to get here for more than half this year, I would throw him a party. Here is a picture of all the kids at the party.

Fox started out opening his presents with everyone watching.
Quickly they all joined in and helped him finish off the wrapping paper.

They all had cupcakes and ice cream. Fox is blowing out his spiderman candle. We had a little bit of a spiderman theme going on.

Even though everyone else was finished, Fox wanted a 2nd cupcake. I think it was for the frosting.

We had a piniata. Everyone gave it a good wack, but Fox is the one who broke it.

Here is everyone going for their favorite kinds of candy. Their in heaven, or concerned that they won't get their fair share.
Then a little play time in the new toys. You can't see them, but there are 2 or 3 more kids in the little tent. They tried to all fit in at once.

They all had a fun time. Thanks to all of you parents who brought your kids to play and make Fox's party so much fun.

Fox's Birthday!!!

Fox turned 4 on Thursday. He had been excited for his birthday since he went to a friends birthday party last summer. He had been waiting a long long time for this day so I decided to document the whole day for him.

When he woke up I said "Happy Birthday Fox" and he said that it wasn't his birthday yet. I don't think he thought it was his birthday until he got some presents. I didn't get a picture of breakfast but he chose to have ham and eggs. Then we got ready and went to Jumpn' Jelly Beans. We go to JJB often, but this is the first time he got to go with Grandma and Grandpa and he had a blast with them. I am happy they got to come and spend the day with Fox on his birthday.

Here is grandpa going down the big slide with Fox on their bellies.

Here is Grandma going down the big slide with Fox and Boston.

Grandma and Grandpa going down the big slide with Boston, Jayde and Fox.
Grandpa got pooped out, but Grandma kept on going. This is on the little obstacle course.

Then we went to lunch at Arby's. Fox's second choice next to Chick-fil-A, but we had been there 2 times this week already so he got Arby's instead.
After lunch Fox and I played games while Jayde took a nap. Fox wanted to go to Planet Smoothie sometime last week and I promised him we would go on his birthday. So there we are after Jayde woke up from her little nap.

Then we went home and Fox wanted to help me make a cake for him. Of course Jayde wanted to help too.
Really they just wanted to lick the frosting.
Then when Shawn got home from work, Fox opened up his birthday presents. This is the look on his face when we brought out his new spiderman bike.

Of course he needs some protective gear.

Then we took him to Chuck E Cheese for all the "great food" and fun games. Here is everybody that came with us. Grandma, Grandpa, Trent.

Tiffany, Kevin, Boston, Corbin, and Brityn.

Having fun playing some of the games.

Then we went home and had cake and ice cream to end the fun filled day.

We had such a fun day. Not a minute to rest and the kids didn't even fight or have any melt downs. The whole day was great. We just love our little Foxy boy. He is so much fun. He is growing up way too fast and he is only 4. I can't stand it. Happy Birthday Fox!!!
