Thursday is the big day. In 3 days we will have the newest member of our family with us. I thought I would do a post about the 26th week through the end, with this pregnancy as well as about my other 2 pregnancies, like I did in February. So warning again, this may be a boring one for you all to read.
Fox:
When I was pregnant with Fox, my arms would go to sleep at night. Basically from my elbows down to the end of my finger tips. It was so bad that one of my hands was constantly numb the last 2 months or so of my pregnancy. I can't remember which hand for sure, but I think it was my left hand.
I gained 30 lbs with Fox. He was born the day after his due date. He started my c-sections because he was breach. We went in to the hospital early in the morning January 22, 2005 so the doctor could try to turn him. They got him almost turned, but when they let go, he flipped right back up. From the ultrasounds, they thought my uterus was odd shaped and didn't think that he would turn at all. So they said that we could either go home, wait, go into labor, see if he turns, but most likely would have to have an emergency c-section, or...... have the baby right then. So we chose to have him right then.
It felt like everything was in fast motion after that. They got me ready and wheeled me into the operating room. Shawn was trying to call my mom, his mom, and get ready also, but felt very overwhelmed because it was all so fast once we decided to go for it. Shawn watched the doctor pull Fox out and then also my uterus to examine it. It was a good thing he didn't faint because the anesthesiologist said that if he did, no one would help him. It was pretty crazy. He was born at 9;50 am, and was 8 pounds 11 ounces and 19 inches long.
Jayde:
My arms really didn't go numb much with Jayde if at all, but I felt like I couldn't breath very well with Jayde. I was scheduled for a c-section a week before my due date. I really thought hard about trying a vbac, but in the end chose the c-section because she was due a day or two away from Thanksgiving. So with the scheduled c-section, I knew I would have her almost a week before Thanksgiving. Also, I probably would have gone way over my due date because I didn't dilate or even thin out at all with either Fox or Jayde.
Shawn didn't watch Jayde get pulled out because he didn't know if he was allowed to stand up and watch or not. It was a new hospital and I should have asked before hand. We knew more of what to expect this time though, so it didn't feel so rushed. I gained 10 lbs with Jayde. She was born at 1:08 pm, weighed 7 pounds 3.5 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long.
With this one:
For the last week and a half my right hand has been going numb at night, and it is hurting very badly and causing me not to sleep well. I am lucky it hasn't been the last 2 months though. A week and a half I can handle. I do wonder if it is a boy thing because it did not happen with Jayde?!! The last 2 weeks about I also haven't been feeling well in the morning again. But not like in the beginning, Thank Heavens! However, I haven't been able to breath with this one as well so that is definantly not just a girl thing. I have gained 31 lbs. with this pregnancy. I know I am so ready for him to be out of me, much more than with the other two it seems. So I am glad Thursday is so close now.
