Jayde's haircut

This morning I decided to give Jayde her 2nd haircut. As much as I love her hair growing long, I decided a haircut would do her hair some good. Here she is just before.

Then I cut 4 1/2 inches off.

Because we were focused on her hair, we decided to fix it up and curl it.
Here is a side view. And just because she is so cute, I had to put these last 2 pictures on here.

Jayde

I know, I am on a blogging role today, but Jayde cracks me up lately. She came down stairs from playing in her room looking like this and very seriously told me she was ready to go to work. When I asked her if I could get a picture of her she got on the couch to pose for me.

Yesterday she was playing with all these stuffed animals. I wasn't paying attention to her until I finally realized she was taking all of them to the potty, one at a time and over and over again, and wiping their behinds with toilet paper and flushing the toilet after each one.

It is a good thing we are not on restricted water usage anymore, and I was able to salvage a little bit of toilet paper that was left in the bathroom.

Family Night...not always easy...

Two Mondays ago we went on a golf cart ride to get a treat for family night. We hadn't been on the golf cart for awhile, so we thought that would be fun. Well, we thought wrong. The kids decided to be a little too difficult, so when it came time to getting their treats, they didn't get them. Here is a little glimps of how the ride home went. I can't get the sound to work, so sorry if you don't have sound (probably better without anyways).

Apparently Fox was going to die if he didn't get his treat, so he said. He also said he wasn't going to be able to stop bleeding if he didn't get it (where is the blood?) And he said he was too tired to go into the house unless he got his treat. He must have been thinking that something has got to work. Jayde also had a rough ride home. Normally I wouldn't post this, but I thought it was so funny I just had to. It is better to laugh than to get mad this time right?

Highlights from Utah trip

We went out to Utah a few weeks ago and had a lot of fun. Here are just a few highlights of the trip.

Swimming with mom, dad, grandpa and cousins

Grandpa Art tried to get on the big whale like Shawn

He settled for this! Grandma Vicki watched Dax while the rest of us were swimming
A little fun time in the park with Tammy, Brielle, Tyler and Braden
Just relaxin'

Climbing trees
Playing with the dogs (a favorite)
A little time at Cabela's
Some fun shows put on by the cousin's

I can't capture everything on film, though I would like to be able to, but good times were had by all.

Times are Changing...

This morning I took Fox to preschool for his first day. I have to admit, I got a little teary eyed. I can't believe he is old enough to go to school. It is only half day school and with him being my first child, I am happy with that. I hope this will break us in for all day school next year.
He is so excited about school. He was smiling all morning. I gave him a haircut last night for school and he told me not to cut the top because he wants to put gel in his hair. Now you know he is excited when he wants gel in his hair because he normally HATES gel! Throws a fit when I want to put it in his hair. He even told me how to style it this morning. Ok, where did my child go, because this is an imposter?!
So I dropped him off and he went right in without me. With the nice carpool system they have at the school he can just be a big boy and go in all by himself. It was wierd to watch him go with out any help from me, but I guess he has always been that type of boy. 'Just go already mom, I want to play' is his normal attitude.

He had a great first day. Got in the car smiling still. That is a good sign. He likes his teachers, had a lot of fun, but the best part, like most things, he has his cousin Boston in his class with him.

Dax 3 Months

Dax turned 3 months old today. He is such a sturdy little guy I decided to get out the exersaucer. I think he likes it.

He is quite fascinated with the toys.
He concentrates very hard on what I have to say. He loves his fingers and hands. I hear him sucking on them from accross the room.
He is a smiley little guy.
And he is my little chunky monkey.
He is growing so fast I wish he would slow down a little. Before I know it he is going to be all grown up.

Jayde...

Jayde has been playing with her babies a lot more now that we have Dax. She has to change her babies, put them in their strollers and carriers, feed her babies, and burp her babies. She is always carrying around her purse to make sure she has the essentials, which includes a burp cloth, not a burp rag. Ask her about the burp rags and she will correct you by telling you it is a burp cloth. The other day she had to feed her baby while she was eating. I guess she thinks it comes out through the stomach. Other times she is sitting on the couch with a blanket covering her while she feeds. She loves her babies.

Jayde is quite the chatter box lately. There are so many things I need to write down that she says, but tonight she told her dad that she is a girl and mommy is a girl and Fox is a buddy. I love what little kids say when they are trying to be so serious and all we can do is laugh.
